Assigning & Resolving

How to manage incident ownership and close incidents.

Assigning an incident

Assign an incident to a team member to make ownership explicit.

  1. Open the incident detail view
  2. Click the Assignee field
  3. Select a team member from the list

The assignee is notified and the incident appears in their assigned view. Any team member with at least the Operator role can be assigned an incident.

Unassigned incidents are visible to all team members in the shared Incidents view.

Resolving an incident

Resolve an incident when the underlying condition has been fixed.

  1. Open the incident detail view
  2. Click Resolve

The incident moves to Resolved status and is removed from the active incidents list. It remains accessible via the Resolved filter.

Dismissing an incident

Dismiss an incident when the detected condition is expected and does not need action.

  1. Open the incident detail view
  2. Click Dismiss

Dismissed incidents are hidden from the default view. Use the Dismissed filter to see them.

Bulk actions

From the Incidents list view, you can select multiple incidents and apply bulk actions:

  • Resolve selected — resolve all selected incidents at once
  • Dismiss selected — dismiss all selected incidents at once
